Track 03 · Vendor Central

Amazon 1P: Keep vendor item data, content changes, and support work in sync.

First-party selling means Amazon is your customer: it buys wholesale on purchase orders and retails the product itself. You do not hold an offer — Amazon Retail does — but you are still responsible for the catalog data behind every ASIN you supply: identifiers, packaging hierarchy, content, images, and A+ modules.

That changes the failure modes. In Vendor Central the hard problems are rarely "the upload failed"; they are which contributor's data is showing, why a page went unavailable, and how to write a case Amazon's teams can act on. This track covers the five skills that make 1P catalog work dependable.

Vendor Central

Relationship

Vendor → Amazon

Work within the vendor relationship. Keep the item record, the account context (vendor code and marketplace), and the evidence for every content change aligned — Amazon Retail can outrank you on its own pages.

Vendor catalog: item identity, packaging hierarchy, and account context

How a Vendor Central item is identified — ASIN, GTIN at each packaging level, vendor code, your own item number — how eaches, cases and pallets differ, which account you are acting in, and why you search the catalog before you create anything.

Content updates: Edit Products, bulk spreadsheets, and locked attributes

Change titles, bullets, descriptions and attributes on vendor ASINs — one at a time through Edit Products or in bulk through an exported spreadsheet — read the outcome field by field, and know which attributes are locked and need a case instead.

Retail readiness: one page, contributions, and issue ownership

Review a vendor detail page as one product — title, bullets, attributes, images and A+ telling one story — tell a contribution conflict from a lock or a delay, request a BIN check, and know which problems are yours, Amazon Retail's, or a case.

Case management: Contact Us cases, Andon Cord, and escalation

Write Vendor Central cases that get acted on, run the Case Log loop without parallel tickets, respond to an Andon Cord pull with the defined workflow, and escalate a stalled case — BIN check, then Vendor Manager — in the right order.

Variation families: parent and child ASINs, submissions, and family cases

How a vendor variation family is built in the item setup spreadsheet, what you can change by submission versus a catalog-relationships case, and how to check a live family child by child.

Media and A+ Content: image slots, video, and brand modules for vendor ASINs

Fill the image slots on every vendor ASIN, submit images and video through Vendor Central, read what displayed and what was outranked or rejected, and take A+ Content from modules to approval and the live page.

Unavailable pages: submission errors, suppression, and why a vendor ASIN is not selling

Read the submission status and the error sheet, fix rejected rows at the source, and diagnose an ASIN that is not selling — catalog suppression, no Amazon offer, a retail decision, or a safety halt — in a fixed order.
