Bulk Listing Creator — template guide
This tool generates brand-new listing drafts from your own product data — it doesn't optimize an existing Amazon listing (use the single Listing Optimizer for that). Download the template from the tool page and fill it in; every seller's own records are organized differently, so we don't try to guess your sheet's structure.
Marketplace & output language
Both are selected on the tool page when you start the run — they are not sheet columns — and apply to every parent and variation in the sheet: keyword volumes and competitor data come from the selected marketplace (keyword volumes aren't available for amazon.co.jp — volumes show as unknown), and all generated copy is written in the selected output language ("Marketplace default" uses the marketplace's primary language). The template's Country column is informational context for the AI only — it does not change which marketplace's data or rules are used.
Marking parents and children
- Put "Parent" in the Parent/Child column on the first row of a product family. Fill in Product Name and Product Details (the raw description we generate copy from) — both are required on every parent row.
- Its variation rows go directly beneath it, each marked "Child". A family ends at the next Parent row, or a blank Parent/Child cell.
- For a single standalone listing with no variations, leave Parent/Child blank on its row.
Uniform vs. individual variations
- uniform (the default if left blank): the child only differs from its parent by Size/Color. We reuse the parent's generated copy and just adjust the title and those columns — no extra generation cost.
- individual: this variation needs its own generated copy (e.g. a meaningfully different edition). Fill in its own Product Details (Product Name can be left blank — it falls back to the parent's), and it's generated on its own — charged at the per-individual-child rate shown in the cost breakdown before you confirm.
Competitor lookups
Competitor data is fetched once per Parent row that has an ASIN filled in, and reused across every Child under that parent — it's never fetched again per child. Parents without an ASIN skip the lookup entirely.
Title Length, Bullet Length, and content steering
These apply to any row that generates its own title/bullets (a Parent, or an individual Child):
- Title Length: a dropdown (75/90/150/175/200, default 75) — the MAXIMUM title length in characters. Shorter is fine; the generated title never exceeds it. Amazon's compliance rules (no word repeated more than twice, no banned characters, no percentages or "100%" anywhere, no cleaning/care instructions, no promotional text) apply no matter which length you pick.
- Parent vs. Child title structure: a Parent title is brand → primary keyword → generic descriptor, and never includes size, color, material composition, or care instructions — even if the Product Name happens to contain a size or number, it's left out. A Child/variation title may include its differentiating size/color at the end.
- Bullet Length: a dropdown (250 or 500, default 250) — a TARGET length per bullet, not a max. 500 produces longer, richer bullets. Amazon's ~500-character hard limit per bullet always applies on top.
- Bullet Topic 1-5: optional, steers what each bullet covers.
- Forbidden Words: optional, comma-separated — never appear in the output.
- Description Format: "Plain" (default) or "HTML" for the description field.
- Keywords: optional, comma-separated target keywords for this row. A blank Child falls back to its Parent's Keywords; a blank Parent falls back to the run's family-wide Target Keywords field.
- Backend Byte Length: a dropdown (250 or 500, default 250) — the backend search-terms budget in BYTES, not characters (non-ASCII characters count for more than one byte each). Marketplace limits apply automatically at run time: amazon.in indexes only 200 bytes, and 500 only takes effect on amazon.co.jp — selections above the marketplace's limit are capped.
- Title/Bullet/Description Keyword Density: optional guidance dials — roughly how many keywords to weave into each section. Targets, not strict rules.
Extra columns
You can add your own columns beyond the template (e.g. an internal note) — they're preserved as-is in the output flatfile. Using an older copy of the template that's missing one of the newer columns is fine too — missing fields just fall back to their defaults.
Pricing and the quote screen
Pricing is per parent, plus a smaller per-individual-child rate (the current rates are shown on the tool page). After you upload the sheet, we parse it and show an exact cost breakdown — parents, individual children, uniform children — BEFORE anything is charged. Nothing runs until you confirm. If a run fails, your credits are refunded automatically.
What you get back
A downloadable workbook with two tabs:
- Flatfile: one row per parent and child, with
item_name,bullet_point1-5,product_description,generic_keywords(backend search terms — lowercase, space-separated, unique words, within the marketplace's byte budget),item_highlights(Amazon's new 125-character searchable field shown under the title), plus your SKU/ASIN/variation columns and any extra columns you added. - Summary: one row per parent — old vs. new title, child counts, and the keywords used with their monthly search volume.
The run page also shows a per-parent summary table with the same information.
Amazon's own flat-file templates don't reliably carry the Item Highlights attribute yet — paste it via Edit listing → View enhancements in Seller Central (your title must already be 75 characters or fewer).
