Retail readiness: the whole page, contributions, and A+ Content

Review a vendor detail page as one product — title, images, attributes, A+ modules — find contradictions, and resolve content conflicts between vendors, sellers, and Amazon Retail.

4 min de lecture

Dans ce module, vous apprendrez à

  • Review the complete detail page for internal consistency, not just the last field you changed.
  • Understand contribution ranking and why submitted content sometimes does not display.
  • Know what A+ Content adds and where it sits relative to the description.
  • Write an actionable correction for each mismatch, with the evidence to resolve it.

Review the page as one complete product.

The title, images, attributes, bullets, and A+ modules should tell the same story. Review them together: a field-by-field upload check will pass a page whose title says 750 mL while its attribute says 500 mL and its hero image shows the wrong color.

Consistency check

Walk the page the way a shopper does and compare:

  • Identity — brand, product name, and model across title, bullets, and A+.
  • Numbers — capacity, dimensions, pack count, unit count in the title, the attribute table, and the images.
  • Variant — the selected color or size against the main image and the swatch.
  • Claims — anything in bullets or A+ that the attributes contradict (material, country of origin, compatibility).

Record each mismatch separately, with the field, the current value, the approved value, and the source.

Images and media

The MAIN image follows the same rules as 3P: pure white background, product only, at least 1,000 px on the longest side (1,600+ for zoom). Additional images are labeled by slot (PT01, PT02…) in bulk image uploads and should show scale, features, and use. Videos and 360 assets go through the media tools in Vendor Central. Mismatched images — a green bottle on the blue variant — are the most common retail-readiness failure because image submissions and content submissions are checked separately.

A+ Content

A+ Content (Basic is free to vendors; Premium is a separate program) replaces the plain description visually with modules: comparison charts, image-and-text blocks, brand story. Two rules: keep the plain description filled anyway (it still indexes and renders where A+ does not), and keep A+ claims consistent with the attributes — A+ is reviewed, and contradictions are a rejection reason.

Contributions and content conflicts

A detail page is assembled from contributions by vendors, third-party sellers, and Amazon Retail, and Amazon ranks them per attribute. A vendor's content usually outranks a reseller's; Amazon Retail's can outrank both. That is why a submission with no errors may never appear.

When you suspect a conflict, request a BIN check — the Vendor Central support request that asks Amazon to review which contributor's data is displaying on the ASIN and to prefer the vendor's. Include the ASIN, the attribute, your submitted value, and the evidence. Brand Registry enrollment strengthens your position on every attribute.

Issue ownership

For each mismatch, write the proposed correction as a complete instruction: ASIN B0FICTION1 — capacity attribute shows 500 mL, should show 750 mL per spec sheet v3 — corrected via Edit Products on [date]; if not displayed within 5 days, BIN check. That sentence is also the first line of the case if one becomes necessary.

À retenir
Read the page as a shopper would. Internal consistency matters as much as individual field accuracy.

Scénario

A fictional detail page has a 750 mL title, a 500 mL capacity attribute, and a hero image of a green bottle while the selected variant is blue. Your last two content submissions processed without errors.

Exercice

  1. List the capacity mismatch and the color-image mismatch as two separate issues.
  2. Check the approved product specification and the image mapping to confirm which values are correct.
  3. Define the intended correction for each, and decide which one is likely a contribution conflict.
Afficher une approche suggérée

First confirm that 750 mL and blue are the approved source values. Correct the capacity attribute through Edit Products and re-map the blue variant's main image through the image upload. If the capacity submission processes cleanly but still shows 500 mL, that is the contribution-conflict signature — request a BIN check with the spec sheet attached. Verify the whole page again after both changes.

Question 1

01Which review best confirms that a detail page is internally consistent?

Question 2

02Your correct capacity value processed without errors twice, but the page still shows the old value. What does that pattern usually indicate?

Question 3

03If you publish A+ Content, what happens to the plain description?
