Walmart 1P: Build dependable supplier records and clear item-resolution workflows.
As a first-party supplier you sell wholesale to Walmart, and Walmart retails the product in stores and on Walmart.com. Item data flows through Supplier One — the Setup Hub for new items, the Maintenance Hub for changes, and the Activity Monitor for the status of both — and every item needs a Walmart merchant's approval before it is orderable. Supplier catalog work is less about copywriting and more about records: unit and case hierarchies, GTINs at each level, and a source of truth that survives handoffs between sales, logistics, and content teams.
This track covers the six skills that make supplier item data dependable: building a trustworthy source record, setting items up against Walmart's requirements, maintaining content in bulk without losing the thread, and turning errors and tickets into verified outcomes.

Work within the supplier relationship. Use the item specifications and workflows available to your supplier account; a merchant, not a feed, is the final approver of new items and re-grouping.

Content maintenance: the Maintenance Hub, bulk exports, and exception lists
Maintain many supplier item records consistently — the Maintenance Hub export/edit/upload loop, protecting the match key in Excel, reading the Submissions Manager, comparing before and after, and keeping an exception list that records what did not apply and why.

Variant groups and re-parenting: grouping supplier items and changing a live group
How a supplier variant group works — shared ID, attribute names and values, the primary — building one in the Setup Hub, what you can change on a live group yourself, what needs the merchant, and checking the result option by option.

Supplier support tickets: filing, following up, and escalating to the merchant
When a Supplier One ticket is the right tool, how to file one that gets acted on — issue type, identifiers, one issue, evidence — how to follow up in one thread, when the merchant takes over, and how to close on a verified result.
